Eligibility Criteria

Science International Scholarship:
- Must be classified as an international student in Australia.
- Submit all documentation by the scholarship closing date to meet the conditions of an offer from UQ.
- Demonstrate strong academic performance as part of the UQ program application.
- Be enrolling in a program administered by the UQ Faculty of Science that is more than one year in duration (full-time).
- Be enrolling in their first semester of study at UQ.
- Students seeking a program change or those enrolled in non-award, Study Abroad, or Exchange programs are ineligible.
- Scholarship winners must:
- Commence study in the semester indicated in the UQ offer letter.
- Attempt to successfully complete the program of study.
- Permit UQ to publish their name, photo, and degree program name.
- Provide a testimonial and a suitable photo for publication.
UQ Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship:
- Achieve a minimum ATAR of 99.90 (or equivalent).
- Complete Year 12 in 2023 or 2022 (if on a gap year).
- Must be either:
- An Australian citizen or Australian Permanent Humanitarian Visa holder.
- An Australian Permanent Resident, New Zealand Citizen, or international student who has completed Years 11 and 12 in Australia.
- Have not completed any previous tertiary study other than as part of Year 11–12 studies.
- Apply for a tertiary place through QTAC with UQ listed as the 1st QTAC preference by 18 December 2024.
- Intend to enroll as a full-time student in a UQ undergraduate program in 2024 (or 2025 if deferring).
